North Sea Crude-Forties unchanged; BP books Ekofisk cargo for China

LONDON, May 4 (Reuters) - * Forties differentials were unchanged on Wednesday, holding close to last week's two-month lows, after the daily trading window yielded no bids, offers or trades, market sources said.

* In flows, a second cargo of Ekofisk is expected to sail to China later this month. According to Reuters shipping data, BP has booked the suezmax Kaveri Spirit to load at Teesport this week.

* This could be the third cargo of Ekofisk to move to Asia so far in 2016, after Shell (LSE: RDSB.L - news) chartered a vessel for this voyage in mid-April and Petroineos did the same in January.

* Based on Reuters shipping data, which date back to 2009, until this year, there had been only one other Ekofisk cargo that headed to Asia, on the suezmax Nordic Zenith in June 2015.

* Ekofisk, one of the lighter North Sea crudes that tends to be rich in gasoline and naphtha, generally tends to stay within Europe. Reuters trade flows data shows some 32 million barrels of this grade have loaded on to vessels in the last 12 months, of which just 4.2 million barrels left the region.

WINDOW SUMMARY

* There were no bids, offers or trades reported in the daily trading window, traders said.

* This left differentials unchanged, with Forties at a discount of 90 cents to dated Brent.
