NORWAY GAS-Flows to Europe surge as Ormen Lange ramps up output
* Exports to Europe total 285 mcm/day
* Flows to Britain rise by 20 mcm/day
OSLO, June 29 (Reuters) - Norwegian pipeline gas exports to
Europe surged on Monday as the country's second-biggest field,
Ormen Lange, was ramping up output after annual maintenance,
data from gas system operator Gassco showed.
Pipeline gas supplies to Europe were running at 285 cubic
metres per day (mcm/day) by around 0700 GMT, up 30 mcm from
volumes delivered last Friday.
Shell (LSE: RDSB.L - news) -operated Ormen Lange is expected to ramp up
to its full output of around 65 million cubic metres (mcm) per
day by Wednesday, Gassco said.
