* Deliveries to Britain drop by 17 mcm/day

OSLO, Jan 9 (Reuters) - Norwegian natural gas exports to

Britain, Europe's biggest traded gas market, fell sharply on

Friday due to an unexpected outage at the Kvitebjoern field,

data from gas system operator Gassco showed.

Output from the Statoil (Xetra: 675213 - news) -operated field was expected

to be cut by 20 million cubic metres (mcm) per day on Friday and

by 23 mcm/day on Saturday, with the outage expected to last for

three days, Gassco said on its website.

The following table shows Norwegian pipeline gas flows,

measured by mcm/day, compared with the previous session's
