NORWAY GAS-Ukraine worries boost demand in March, April

* Flows from Norway at daily average of 220 mcm/day

* Flows higher than average of 196 mcm/day in Dec-Feb

OSLO, April 7 (Reuters) - Norwegian gas exports to Britain were down sharply on Monday morning from Friday's average as gas flows were redirected to Germany, data from gas system operator Gassco showed.

Deliveries to the continental Europe rose in March and remained high through April, at a daily average of 220 million cubic metres (mcm) per day, up from an average of 196 mcm seen from December through February, analysts at Thomson Reuters (Frankfurt: TOC.F - news) Point Carbon said.

Demand for Norwegian gas rose amid concerns that Russia could cut supplies via Ukraine after Moscow seized and annexed Ukraine's Crimea region.

Gazprom (MCX: GAZP.ME - news) also nearly doubled the price of its gas for Ukraine, forcing Kiev to enter into emergency talks with European neighbours to boost cheaper imports from the West.
