Norway's Kaarstoe gas plant output drops after power failure

OSLO, Jan 12 (Reuters) - Output from Norway's Kaarstoe natural gas processing plant will be reduced by 12 million cubic metres (mcm) on Monday, gas system operator Gassco said.

The outage is expected to last for 12 to 24 hours due to a failure in the plant's external power supply, Gassco added.

The facility, Norway's second biggest gas processing plant, has a daily capacity of 88 million cubic metres and produces for export to the rest of Europe. Gassco is operator of the plant while Statoil (Xetra: 675213 - news) is the technical service provider. (Reporting by Terje Solsvik; Editing by Clarence Fernandez)
