Norwegian Air's fleet to grow more slowly than some think -CFO

OSLO, June 14 (Reuters) - Budget carrier Norwegian Air's fleet of aircraft could soon begin to grow more slowly than investors have anticipated, Chief Financial Officer Geir Karlsen said on Thursday.

Sales of older planes as well as aircraft straight from the company's order book will result in lower net growth to its fleet, he added in a video released by Norwegian.

The subject of takeover interest from British Airways-owner IAG, which Norwegian has so far rejected, the company has sought to quell fears its balance sheet was insufficient to handle the ongoing ramp-up of its long-haul business. (Reporting by Ole Petter Skonnord, editing by Terje Solsvik)
