Number of coronavirus cases in Ireland rises to 223 from 169

DUBLIN, March 16 (Reuters) - Ireland now has 223 confirmed cases of coronavirus, up from a total of 169 a day ago, the Department of Health said in a statement on Monday.

Ireland expects its number of coronavirus cases to increase to around 15,000 by the end of the month, Prime Minister Leo Varadkar said earlier on Monday.
