Nurse learns sign language to communicate with hearing impaired COVID patient

IAS Priyanka Shukla took to Twitter to share the story of Swati Bhimagaj, a nurse in a hospital in Chhattisgarh. This COVID warrior has set a stellar example of what it means to go above and beyond the call of duty.

Learning that one of her patients is hearing impaired, nurse Swati quickly learned the sign language to communicate with this patient admitted in one of Chattisgarh's COVID hospitals.

It is so heartwarming to see how pleased the patient is that the nurse who is taking care of him, understands what he wants to say.

Watch the video below:

IAS Shukla share another photo of a nurse in a COVID ward in Raipur, combing an elderly patients hair:

Truly, in our fight against COVID-19, there are some people to whom there will be no words to offer thanks and gratitude.

Salute to our COVID frontline warriors.
