Oil States International (OIS) Reports Q4 Loss, Tops Revenue Estimates

Oil States International (OIS) came out with a quarterly loss of $0.19 per share versus the Zacks Consensus Estimate of a loss of $0.13. This compares to loss of $0.18 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of -46.15%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this energy services company would post a loss of $0.03 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.01, delivering a surprise of 133.33%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates two times.

Oil States International, which belongs to the Zacks Oil and Gas - Mechanical and and Equitment industry, posted revenues of $274.12 million for the quarter ended December 2018, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 5%.
