No matter what language you speak — or in my case try to — all of us need to stay home.

In an effort to continue to send the message that people in Ontario need to stay home, premier Doug Ford posted a video message on Thursday morning to get the message out in 22 languages.
“There is one thing that is uniting all of us in Ontario and that is ‘stay at home,’” Ford says in the video.
The premier goes on to say “stay at home” in languages, including French, Italian, Arabic, Tagalog, Urdu, Turkish, Cantonese, Punjabi, Farsi and more.
“No matter what language you speak — or in my case try to — all of us need to stay home,” the caption of the tweet from Ford reads.
While the premier tried to tackle all the 22 languages, some were less than satisfied with the pronunciations. Others were quick to point out that the premier needs to use a more targeted approach to see why those who aren’t staying home, can’t stay home.
idk, maybe instead of butchering these languages using google translate, maybe collect some data so we can see many that of these people don’t have a choice to stay home?? https://t.co/ZL7V81iwB1

People were also quick to reiterate that the “stay at home” message isn’t all that has to be done, actions like implementing paid sick leave and providing additional help in long-term care homes are required. Some also criticized the provincial government for not implementing stricter restrictions sooner, when daily case counts started to rise.
Cute video.
Now do "10 paid sick days" https://t.co/N0hwCx1AT9— Armine Yalnizyan (@ArmineYalnizyan) January 21, 2021
Get the LTCs the help they need, fine (and actually collect) the businesses that are not adhering to safety rules. You are hammering us to stay home but the biggest culprits are roaming free

Yes everyone stay home.. except Walmart, Costco, dollarama, outdoor exercise, outdoor gathering, curb side pickup, "essential business etc..."
Really I think its easier to just say "small business please go bankrupt so we can stop covid spread in your low risk environment.— GSM Tennis Club (@GSMTennisClub) January 21, 2021
You gonna give back those paid sick days you cancelled when you were elected? Cause people can't afford to stay home sick.💢

And how I wish you had listened to yourself and healthcare professionals back in October. But, no, you waited until the cases were out of control. And let’s not forget the Minister’s St. Barts trip. Sorry... this messaging comes far too late. 😢
