Seasoned technology veteran brings extensive experience driving technology disruption as company expands its leadership in the digital experience market
NEW YORK, Jun 14, 2021--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Leading digital experience platform provider, Optimizely (formerly Episerver), today announced the appointment of Donna Wilczek to its board of directors effective immediately. Wilczek will join the board as the first independent director.
A seasoned technology veteran with over 20 years of industry experience, Wilczek currently serves as the senior vice president of product strategy and innovation at Coupa Software (NASDAQ: COUP), a global leader in business spend management. In her time at Coupa, Wilczek has helped the company scale from being a young startup to a successful public company. She has supported the development of many new applications and the unification of acquired companies while collaborating closely with customers and partners. Over the last decade at Coupa, she has held leadership roles in product strategy and marketing, customer experience, and professional services.
Prior to Coupa, Wilczek led shared services for TriNet (NYSE: TNET), a cloud-based professional employer organization for small and medium-sized businesses, and led professional services at Ketera (acquired by Rearden Commerce), a cloud spend management provider. Wilczek is also a technology innovator who has been awarded twelve software patents.
"We are thrilled to welcome Donna to our board of directors. Following several strategic acquisitions and organic growth, Optimizely is uniquely positioned to capitalize on the untapped market opportunity in front of us as the first DXP provider to unify creation and optimization in one platform," said Alex Atzberger, chief executive officer of Optimizely. "As we scale our footprint in a market that is hungrier than ever for outcome-based digital experiences, we look forward to leveraging Donna’s experience driving product innovation and tangible business value."
"Donna will strengthen our board by complementing the skills of our current directors as we execute our strategy of leading the digital experience market," said Adam Berger, executive chairman of the board of Optimizely and managing director of Insight Partners. "The board and I look forward to working with her to drive continued success for Optimizely. It’s critical that our board members share our passion and core values, and Donna embodies all that is important to us."
"Optimizely’s platform holds the key for growing companies looking to compete in a world where digital experience is the currency brands live by," said Wilczek. "With digital experiences that get smarter over time, the brands that invest in this powerful platform cannot be beaten when it comes to digital experience. I look forward to supporting the team as they execute their compelling vision."
