Oregon's Sedona Prince approves of new weight room at NCAA tournament: 'Thank you NCAA'

Oregon's Sedona Prince led the charge for better workout equipment at the NCAA women's tournament.

She appears to be satisfied with the results.

The sophomore center posted a social media video on Thursday showing a single set of dumbbells for student-athletes at the San Antonio tournament facilities. The footage went viral alongside images of a fully equipped gym at the men's tournament facilities in Indianapolis, launching calls for equitable treatment for men and women.

Women get new weight room Saturday

The NCAA apologized for the discrepancy on Friday. On Saturday, the women in San Antonio woke up to a new weight room equipped with benches, free weights, racks and cardio equipment.

And, of course, more dumbbells.

Prince, who became the face of the call for better equipment amid an outpouring of criticism from athletes and coaches, appears to be pleased with the new setup.

She tweeted a new video Saturday celebrating the upgrade.

Prince's reaction to the upgrade

"Guess what guys?" Prince said with a big smile on her face. "We got a weight room."

Prince then provided a tour of the weight room before thanking the NCAA.

"Thank you NCAA for listening to us," Prince continued. "We appreciate y'all. Thank you so much, for real."
