Orlando Bloom has brought another dog into his life, months after he was left heartbroken over the death of his and Katy Perry’s pet pooch Mighty.

The Pirates Of The Caribbean star posted a photograph on Instagram of his new foster dog snuggling up to him in bed.

Bloom told fans that the pooch – who is called Buddy – could never replace Mighty but that he has “really filled my heart”.

He wrote: “Time for a #cutedog photo.

“Plz meet BUDDY a one year old something & something mix.

“Nothing can replace mighty man, but fostering this little guy has really filled my heart - if you've never fostered or are considering, I'd highly recommend it - it leaves two beings better off & remember what they say never judge a book by its cover.”

Bloom revealed in July that his and Perry's dog Mighty had died after going missing.

I don’t recall a time in my life where I’ve been so broken wide open. The 43-year-old – who welcomed daughter Daisy with Perry in August - went on: "I feel so grateful to have learned from my little Mighty man that love is eternal and the true meaning of devotion.
