THE OWNERS of a family business have said they are thrilled after they recently expanded.

The owners behind Thai2Go, one of the markets first vendors to open at Five Valleys, have now opened their second outlet, The Noodle Bar.

The Noodle Bar will be headed up by co-owner Sudjai initially, with a newly appointed team joining her in the coming weeks.

Husband and wife team, Ian and Sudjai, have built up a strong customer base of people who enjoy Sudjai’s authentic Asian dishes using her skills and signature recipes from Northeast Thailand where she originated until coming to live in the UK 27 years ago.

Co-owner, Ian Calvert, said: “We’re thrilled with the reception and feedback we’ve received so far at The Noodle Bar.

"Our aim is to bring an authentic menu, inspired by our teams Southeast Asian roots, to Stroud using local fresh ingredients from the Cotswolds.”

Handmade Dim Sum and a selection of rice dishes are also being served alongside a wide range of drinks, including a signature cocktail menu.

Lottie Thompson from the Five Valleys Centre Management team said: “The Noodle Bar has already proven very popular with our market visitors and we’re sure this is partly due to the great reputation from its sister company, Thai2Go.

“We’re thrilled that one of our start-up businesses, who have been at the market since its opening, have now been able to expand.

The expansion has created a further 6 jobs to take their team up to 12 employees in total.
