Paddy McGuinness jokes he 'survived' Christmas as he shares sweet pic with wife

Paddy McGuinness joked that he and has wife Christine had survived Christmas as he shared a picture of the pair snuggled up in bed on Boxing Day.

The couple are parents to six-year-old twins Leo and Penelope, who are autistic, and Felicity, three, who Christine has said has displayed signs of being on the autism spectrum.

Top Gear star Paddy wrote on Instagram: “We survived!!!

“All three kids in bed, Mummy & Daddy frigged! Time for an early night with @mrscmcguinness.

“Merry Christmas.”

The sweet image was also shared by Christine, who captioned the shot: “Team work.”

Earlier, the former beauty queen shared a picture of herself in PJs by the Christmas tree, writing: “We’ve done it and with only one massive overload meltdown!

“I’d say that was our most successful, calmest, happiest Christmas yet!”

Before the big day, Christine said she was the “proudest mummy” after her children were able to feel comfortable with a Christmas tree in their family home.

She told fans: “Christmas is always a very difficult time of year for us, our children can get overwhelmed, upset with all the changes everywhere, the lack of school routine, they get overstimulated and anxious meaning daily meltdowns are a given.

“This year I am preparing more than ever, visiting Christmas displays as much as possible (even if we only last 5 minutes) .. choosing decorations for our tree together, using visual calendars, reading stories about Christmas, even watching peppa pigs Christmas on repeat.

“So far they are coping amazing and we have managed to put a tree up at home without any upset for the first time in years!”

Paddy and Christine tied the knot in 2011.
