Parents discover real culprit of crashed family car in secret CCTV footage after kids 'deny' responsibility: 'I still don't believe [it]'

Parents blamed their kids for crashing into the new car. But camera footage proved them wrong.

Decode and demystify Gen Z's latest online slang terms with In The Know's new glossary.

When the car comes back totaled, parents know if they weren’t responsible, few other parties could be guilty. Yet, there’s one family member who might get overlooked, and they’re practically hiding in plain sight. At least that was the case in a viral TikTok where a family’s story had quite the twist of an ending.

Here's what men should wear to weddings instead of a boring tux

“When the kids all deny crashing into the new car. Good job. We got CCTV,” the user @livingthedriftlife wrote in the caption of a video.

The CCTV cameras revealed the shocking truth. The family dog somehow got into a golf cart and started to drive it. The canine steered directly into the side of the car’s fender. Then it got out of the cart and walked away as if nothing happened.

The funny clip received over 4.1 million views. People were stunned by the revelation.

“I know I just watched the video of him doing it but I still don’t believe he did it,” a user said.

“This is even less believable than ‘my dog ate my homework,'” another joked.

“I would’ve blamed my husband, my neighbor and my pastor before ever thinking it was the dog,” someone commented.
