Fans of the Kansas City Chiefs are holding their breath as they await an update on Patrick Mahomes.
On Sunday, during the divisional round playoff game, the quarterback, 25, took a hard hit midway through the third quarter when he was tackled by Cleveland Browns linebacker Mack Wilson. Mahomes, who struggled to stand on his feet, was helped off the field before he made his way to the locker room.
The team confirmed on Twitter that the reigning Super Bowl MVP is "being evaluated for a concussion."
Chiefs backup quarterback Chad Henne replaced Mahomes for the remainder of the game.

Before Mahomes was helped off the field, the Chiefs led 19-10 over the Browns. And prior to the third quarter, the star was seen limping with a toe injury in the first half.
Despite Mahomes' concussion, the Chiefs were still victorious, winning 22-17 over the Browns. The Kansas City team will face off against the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship game on Jan. 24.
Last season, Mahomes suffered a bad knee injury when his kneecap dislocated during a game against the Denver Broncos. Fortunately, he returned later that same season and led Kansas City to a Super Bowl championship.
