Pearson's CFO sells £1.3m worth in shares

LONDON (ShareCast) - The chief financial officer of Pearson (Xetra: 858266 - news) sold £1.3m worth in shares on Thursday. Robin Freestone's connected person, Mirima Freestone, sold 100,000 shares for 1319p each, bringing home £1.319m.

Following the sale, Freestone holds 151,766 shares in the education and publishing company.

The transaction followed Pearson's trading update last week which said the group had a "solid" start to the year,trading in line with expectations.

The group said adjusted earnings per share are expected to be between 75p and 80p for the full year, up from 70.1p the year before.
