Pete Wicks has denied a rumour he's dating his fellow Celebs Go Dating star Shaughna Phillips.

The TOWIE and Love Island stars have been linked after comments Shaughna made to The Sun Online, during which she revealed matchmakers Paul C Brunson and Anna Williamson thought she and Pete "are alike" and "that could be a perfect chemistry".

But, speaking recently, Pete insisted there's "definitely no truth" to the claims he is dating his Celebs Go Virtual Dating co-star.

"Do you know what it is, I can't even say hello to a woman without someone thinking that there's something going on," he told OK! Online.

"Shaughna's a really nice girl but there's definitely no truth in that.

"She's a nice girl that's come out of Love Island, she's single, I'm single, we're doing the same sort of thing, working together and people have just jumped the gun but there's definitely no truth in that whatsoever."

The comments follow Pete previously confessing that he "couldn't boil an egg" before doing Celebrity MasterChef.

"I couldn't even really boil an egg," he said. "I've never cooked for anyone before, ever. So, John [Torode] and Gregg [Wallace] were the first people I've ever actually cooked for.

"I didn't really have any hopes or delusions of grandeur, I just thought, 'Listen, they're gonna think I'm crap anyway.' I [had] no expectations at all."

Celebs Go Virtual Dating airs on E4.
