Five investor groups have prequalified to bid for the 24.4 billion peso ($541 million) Bulacan Bulk Water Supply Project, the Philippines' first water infrastructure project offered by the government under its Public-Private Partnership programme, BusinessWorld reported.

The groups include several listed companies including San Miguel Corp, First Philippine Holdings Corp, Manila Water Co Inc, and a number of foreign firms like Korea Water Resources Corp, Malaysia's MTD Capital Bhd, U.K.'s Biwater International Ltd, according to a government list cited by the newspaper.
