These Pink Lemonade Doughnuts Taste Like A Little Piece Of Summer

I’m calling it now: pink lemonade is going to be the flavour of 2021. 2020 was all about orange chocolate-flavoured food and drink, but I think pink lemonade is going to be taking over supermarket shelves for the foreseeable.

With that in mind, let’s talk about Morrisons’ new pink lemonade doughnuts, shall we?

These jam doughnuts from Morrisons’ Market Street bakery section of the supermarket have been spotted by @kevssnackreviews and cost just 50p for a five-pack.

We don’t have much information on the sugar-coated sweet treats, but we’re guessing that the fluffy doughnuts are stuffed full of pink lemonade flavoured jam. Pink lemonade is usually lemonade flavoured with red berries, such as strawberries and/or raspberries. So, if that flavour jam is your, erm, jam, then these doughnuts are for you!

So, the reason I think pink lemonade is going to be big news this year is that, recently we got word of Smirnoff launching a pink lemonade vodka, as well as Rekorderlig releasing a pink lemonade version of its iconic fruit cider.

Smirnoff Pink Lemonade Vodka is flavoured with raspberries, strawberries and lemon to give it that unmistakable pink lemonade flavour. Smirnoff’s Pink Lemonade Vodka has an ABV of 30%, so it would be dreamy in cocktails. Like, can you think of anything more delicious than a Cosmopolitan cocktail made with this? Or a pink lemonade-flavoured Sex On The Beach? And, let’s be honest, it would be delicious just served up with lemonade or tonic and a load of ice.

It’s currently only available in the US, but should be with us Brits this summer.

Onto the cider: featuring bright and juicy citrus flavours and balanced with notes of raspberry, Rekorderlig’s Pink Lemon Cider is best served over ice with a handful of raspberries and a wedge of lemon.

The brand-new Pink Lemon Cider is available in 500ml bottles online, and via select supermarkets including Morrisons. Get your hands on a four-pack for £7.99.
