VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) _ Platinum Group Metals Ltd. (PLG) on Friday reported a loss of $5.6 million in its fiscal first quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Vancouver, British Columbia-based company said it had a loss of 2 cents.

In the final minutes of trading on Friday, the company's shares hit $1.52. A year ago, they were trading at $4.87.
