PM Cameron's ratings fall, both campaigns level ahead of EU referendum - YouGov

LONDON, April 14 (Reuters) - Prime Minister David Cameron's ratings have fallen 8 percentage points ahead of a referendum on European Union membership, a YouGov (LSE: YOU.L - news) poll for The Times newspaper indicated on Thursday.

Support for Britain to stay in the European Union was level with backing for a withdrawal from the 28-member bloc at 39 percent, the YouGov poll showed. Five percent would not vote while 17 percent were undecided.

On the EU, public trust in Cameron has fallen 8 percentage points to 21 percent since a Feb. 21-22 poll, while trust in opposition Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has risen 2 percentage points to 28 percent, according to the poll.

Trust in London Mayor Boris Johnson, who is helping to lead the "Out" campaign, fell 8 percentage points to 26 percent.

The online poll surveyed 1,693 people on April 11-12, the newspaper said. (Reporting by Guy Faulconbridge)
