Pokemon Go Players Robbed At Gunpoint In Park

Three teenagers were threatened with a gun and robbed of their phones while playing Pokemon Go in a park in London.

The victims, aged 15, 16 and 18, were hunting for virtual monsters in Whittington Park in Holloway at 9.30pm on Tuesday evening, when they were approached by three male suspects, one of whom had a hangdun.

They were then forced to hand over their phones and left the scene reportedly shocked but unscathed.

Police are appealing for witnesses, describing the suspects as also in their teens, with the armed assailant believed to be a 16 to 17-year-old Asian referred to as 'Kushi'.

The robbery took place 30 minutes after a 24-year-old man had a handgun pressed to his waist and was told to hand over his possessions by three men at the park's entrance.

Scotland Yard say the suspect descriptions are "identical" and believe the incidents are linked.

Kevin Yeung, the investigating officer, said: "These were really shocking attacks on young people walking around a much-loved park.

"My team are keen to hear from anyone who can help lead us to the culprits. Robberies where a gun is shown or indicated are very rare and we are keen to apprehend those involved as soon as possible."

The suspects are described as followed:

:: Suspect one - Asian male, believed to be aged 16 to 17; 5ft 6ins tall; referred to as 'Kushi'. He was wearing a black zip-up jumper, black trousers and a black bandana covering his face.

:: Suspect two - Asian male, believed to be aged 16 to 17; 5ft 8ins tall. He was wearing a dark grey puffer jacket.

:: Suspect three - Asian male, believed to be aged 16. He was wearing a black zip-up jumper, black North Face gilet, and dark coloured trousers.
