Police close car park due to concern for welfare of woman

A WOMAN was brought to safety this morning after a concern for welfare incident.

Police were called to the multi-storey car park of The Dolphin in Kingland Road, Poole on Tuesday morning (September 26).

Officers attended along with parademics and closed the road from Seldown Bridge to The Dolphin, but they have since reopened.

The top floor of the car park remains closed, according to the police.

A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at approximately 10.40am raising concern for the welfare of a woman on Tuesday 26 September 2023 at the multi-storey car park in Kingland Road, Poole.

“Emergency services attended and the woman has been taken to receive the appropriate care.

“Officers initially closed the road from Seldown Bridge to the Dolphin Centre, but it has since been reopened. However, the top floor of the muti-storey car park will remain closed.”
