Police name cemetery stab death victim as Michael Morris Owens

Police have named a man who died from stab wounds at a north west London cemetery.

The victim is 62-year-old Michael Morris Owens who lived in Brent.

Officers were scrambled to St Mary’s cemetery in Kensal Green at 2pm on Sunday to reports that a man had been knifed.

Paramedics fought to save his life and and London’s Air Ambulance attended but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Cornelius Tully, 50, of High Street, Brent, was charged with murder on Monday. He appeared in custody at Harlesden Magistrates’ Court on 24 November.

He was remanded in custody and appears at the Old Bailey on 26 November.
