Poll shows smaller lead for "Remain" in Britain's EU referendum

LONDON, June 4 (Reuters) - A poll of Britons' views ahead of June 23's referendum on European Union membership showed a smaller lead for the "Remain" campaign on Saturday, according to market research company Opinium

Opinium said an online survey of 2,007 adults conducted between May 31 and June 3 showed 43 percent intended to vote to stay in, while 41 percent said they would vote to leave. Some 16 percent were undecided or did not want to say.

A previous Opinium poll for the Observer newspaper released on May 21 showed 44 percent of people wanted to stay in the EU, versus 40 percent who wanted to leave.
