A new CNN/ORC poll released Wednesday night found that President Donald Trump continues to hold the lowest approval ratings of any president at 100 days in office since modern polling started with President Eisenhower.

The survey found that at the 100-day milestone, Trump's approval ratings were at 44%, with 54% of respondents saying they disapproved of how he has handled the presidency so far.

The numbers were largely partisan, however, with Democrats continuing a steady trend of disapproval of Trump's performance.

The poll found that six out of 10 Americans disapprove of Trump's handling of an ongoing attempt to implement a new health care bill and his handling of immigration issues. Approval ratings for those issues were lower than a March CNN/ORC poll on the same topics.

Trump received negative ratings on multiple other questions:

  • 55% of respondents said he has not paid enough attention to the nation's problems.

  • 51% said he is not working hard enough.

  • And 61% of respondents, more than six in 10 people, say Trump isn't respected by other world leaders.

According to the poll, 37% of those surveyed said they believe Trump is honest — down from 41% in November, and only 35% have a "deep belief" that he can handle the economy. While Trump's ratings for his handling of foreign affairs stayed roughly the same, that number was only 27%.

Trump performed well on the topic of military use following missile strikes in Syria earlier this month and his rhetoric on North Korea. Fifty-two percent of those polled said he has used the military responsibly.

The president improved on a few topics. In February only 46% said "things in the country are going well," according to CNN. That number rose to 54%. Also, six out of 10 believe the economy is doing well — higher than in mid-January.
