Yahoo Finance Pope’s Instagram account ‘likes’ bikini model's X-rated snap
A bikini model has caused quite the stir online after claiming Pope Francis’ Instagram account liked one of her photos.
Brazilian model Natalia Garibotto uploaded a screenshot of the ‘like’ she received from the @francisus Instagram account, the same handle as the Pope’s official social media account.
The photo shows Natalia dressed in a schoolgirl outfit at a locker, wearing suspenders with her hair in pigtails.
While it’s not clear whether it was actually the Pope’s official account who liked the snap, Natalia has rolled with the narrative online.
“My mum may hate my ass pics but the Pope be double-tapping,” she told Barstool Sports.
She later took to her Twitter account to write: “Brb on my way to the Vatican” and “At least I’m going to heaven.”
The model’s followers also commented, saying: “My mans just admiring God’s creation leave him alone.”
Another person wrote: “Or it just means that your ass is divine”.
Others weren’t impressed with how Natalia was speaking about the pontiff online, with one person responding to her heaven comment writing: “Not talking about the pope the way you are . Couldn't you have picked another way to get your 5 mins of Fame.”.
Natalia has over 2.3 million followers on Instagram, where she regularly posts bikini photos.
