Popular city shop in running for another prestigious award

A POPULAR family-run city gift shop is in the running for a prestigious award.

Cornucopia, based in Crowngate, is a finalist in the Greats gift retailer awards in the category of Independent Gift Retailer of the Year - Midlands and Wales.

The home and gift store is no stranger to success having been named Britain’s best small shop at the Independent Retailers Confederation (IRC) awards in 2020.

The shop is run by mother-and-daughter owners Clare and Hannah Bishop.

They wrote on Facebook: "We are up against some great independent retailers.

"We are looking forward to celebrating with fellow retailers and suppliers at the awards ceremony at the Royal Lancaster Hotel on Thursday, May 9."
