Prince Harry performed The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air rap for James Corden while appearing on The Late Late Show.

During Thursday’s (25 February) episode of the late-night talk show, the royal appeared in a lengthy skit in which he was shown around Los Angeles on his first ever open-top bus tour.

In the sketch, Corden suggests that Harry and his wife Meghan Markle should find a base in Los Angeles, showing him to the mansion originally used in 1990s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

“If it’s good enough for the Fresh Prince, it’s good enough for a real prince,” Corden said.

He then asked Harry if he knew the show’s theme song, with the royal proceeding to rap the first verse. “Look at you,” Corden said. “See, it’s made for you.”

The pair knocked on the house’s door and greeted the shocked current resident who lived there.

“Think about how cool it would be to go, ‘I’m a prince, I live in the house of the Fresh Prince,’” Corden tried to convince Harry.

While Harry used the house for a toilet break, which Corden said he was “not expecting”, the comedian then FaceTimed Markle to tell her that the couple should buy the house so that she could be “the Fresh Princess of Bel-Air”.

Harry and Markle moved to Los Angeles last spring after announcing that they were stepping back from their role as senior members of the royal family.

The Late Late Show segment was filmed before it was announced last week that the pair would not return as working royals and would be stripped of their patronages.
