Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have released two new wedding photos

From Good Housekeeping

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have delighted royal fans by sharing new photos from their wedding day on Friday (17 July) on social media.

Thanking well-wishers for the kind messages of congratulations they received following the private ceremony at Windsor last week, the newlyweds chose to release two more photos from their big day, taken by photographer Benjamin Wheeler.

In the first of the two pictures, shared on the official @TheRoyalFamily Instagram account on Sunday (19 July) evening, a beaming Beatrice looks out into the distance while her adoring new husband smiles down at her.

The second snap shows the couple walking hand in hand in the gardens of the Royal Lodge at Windsor, where they tied the knot in front of close family, including Beatrice's grandparents, the Queen and Prince Philip.

The accompanying caption reads: "Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice of York and Mr. Mapelli Mozzi have been touched by the warm wishes they have received since their wedding, and are delighted to share two additional photographs of their happy day.

"The pictures show Princess Beatrice and Mr Mapelli Mozzi in the grounds of Royal Lodge after their wedding."

The bride looks absolutely stunning in a vintage gown by Norman Hartnell, which was lent to her by the Queen. Beatrice wore a very significant piece of royal jewellery for the occasion, which she also borrowed from her grandmother – the Queen Mary diamond fringe tiara, which Her Majesty also wore on her own wedding day to Prince Philip back in 1947.

The new photos follow the release of two official wedding pictures on Saturday, 18 July. The first showed Beatrice, 31, and Edoardo, 37, posing outside their wedding venue, The Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge, with the Queen and Prince Philip standing close by. The second snap depicted the moment the happy couple walked out of the Chapel as man and wife.

Their wedding was described as a "small private ceremony" and took place following current government guidelines.

A Buckingham Palace spokesperson confirmed the news of their wedding on Friday, saying: "The private wedding ceremony of Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi took place at 11am on Friday 17th July at The Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge, Windsor.

"The small ceremony was attended by The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh and close family.

"The wedding took place in accordance with all relevant Government Guidelines."

The couple were originally due to wed on 29 May at The Chapel Royal in St James's Palace but, like many others, were forced to postpone their nuptials as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Sending huge congratulations to Beatrice and Edoardo!
