Yahoo Finance Princess Eugenie makes rare video appearance ahead of baby due date to remember tragic anniversary
She is due to give birth any day now, but Princess Eugenie has made time for a rare video appearance this week in the name of an important cause.
The Queen’s 30-year-old granddaughter – who is reported to be expecting her first child with husband Jack Brooksbank in mid-February – marked the anniversary of the Morecambe Bay cockling disaster.
In a clip shared on Twitter by a royal fan, she discusses the tragic event, which took place on 5 February, 2004, with Julia de Boinville, her friend and co-founder of The Anti Slavery Collective.
The daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, could be seen wearing a high-neck jumped with ruffled shoulders – with her baby bump remaining off-camera.

The royal said: “Seventeen years ago, 21 Chinese undocumented immigrant labourers were drowned by an incoming tide after picking cockles off the Lancashire coast.
"While their story is so tragic, it really isn't very unique and it's something that happens in modern slavery and has only worsened in the last years.
“There's an estimated 24.9 million victims of forced labour globally across the world."
De Boinville added: "Please join us in remembering them today."
In early December, the princess sent a Christmas message via the Anti Slavery Collective, in which she thanked organisations helping the most vulnerable during the pandemic.
According to Hello!, the royal is due to give birth to the monarch’s ninth great-grandchild in mid-February.
In September, she revealed in an Instagram post, along with her other half, that they were expecting in “early 2021”.
The couple married in October 2018 at St George’s Chapel in the grounds of Windsor Castle, just months after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot at the same historic royal venue.
It is understood that in recent weeks Eugenie and her husband have been living at Frogmore Cottage on the estate – a home that had been the main base for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex before they relocated to California.
Prior to that, the parents-to-be were living in the three-bedroom Ivy Cottage at Kensington Palace in London.
According to the latest bookmaker odds, the name of their firstborn – the sex of whom they have not yet announced – is likely to be Victoria or Arthur.
Other suggestions from bookmakers Coral include Oliver, Mary, Edward, Lily and Elizabeth – after Her Majesty.
