Princess Eugenie writes about the love she feels for her son August
Princess Eugenie has written about what a “joy” being a mother is in a newly published letter. The 31-year-old gave birth to her son, August, on 9 February this year and has clearly taken to the role of mum seamlessly.
Writing to a royal fan to thank them for their good wishes, she wrote: "Thank you so much for thinking of us and celebrating the birth of our beautiful baby boy, August.
"Words can't express the joy and love we feel. With our very best, Eugenie and Jack."

The letter was penned prior to the sad passing of Prince Philip on 9 April and was published by the Twitter account, Gert’s Royals, which showcases correspondences from the Royal Family.
August is Jack Brooksbank and Eugenie’s first child and was born at the Portland Hospital in London.
His full name is August Philip Hawke Brooksbank and his middle name was chosen as a sweet tribute to Eugenie’s grandfather, the late Duke of Edinburgh, who was August’s great-grandfather.
Since welcoming their son, Princess Eugenie has shared a number of touching snaps of the family on her Instagram.
For her first Mother’s Day, she shared a photograph of August wearing a very sweet knitted bonnet and bunny slippers, surrounded by Daffodils.
On her 31st birthday, she thanked fans for "the birthday love" by posting an image of herself and Jack looking adoringly at each other as she cradled August, who was wearing a cardigan with his name embroidered on his back.
Most recently, the couple could be seen with their son taking in the spring weather, standing under a glorious blossom tree on Easter day.
