A recent study by Selco Builders Warehouse found that 13.9m Brits are disturbed by loud neighbours on a weekly basis, so it’s no wonder that detached houses are more popular than ever. According to Halifax, over the past decade the proportion of people moving to detached homes has increased from 25 to 32%, as they seek peace and privacy along with more space.
