Prospect Capital: Fiscal 3Q Earnings Snapshot

NEW YORK (AP) _ Prospect Capital Corp. (PSEC) on Wednesday reported fiscal third-quarter profit of $89.2 million.

The New York-based company said it had profit of 24 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for investment gains, were 21 cents per share.

The business development company posted revenue of $171.1 million in the period.

Prospect Capital shares have increased nearly 7% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $6.73, an increase of slightly more than 4% in the last 12 months.
