Prospective renter Loudmila is looking to move into an NYC apartment with tons of closet space

On this episode of In The Know: Find My Dream Room, host Will Taylor (@brightbazaar) helps Long Island resident Loudmila make the move to NYC and into a bright and spacious studio or one-bedroom apartment with a budget of $2,500. Loudmila is looking mainly in the boroughs of Queens and Brooklyn, and has natural light and plenty of closet space at the top of her must-haves list. Is Will up to the challenge? Let’s see!

The first unit Will shows Loudmila is deemed “The Spacious Apartment” and is located in Queens. The one-bedroom apartment is listed at $2,200, which is well within Loudmila’s budget. The apartment quickly ticks off Loudmila’s storage box since it’s equipped with a coat closet, two storage closets in the corridor, and two more closets in the bedroom. Loudmila also loves all the natural light that streams through the kitchen, and the spacious living room which would allow her to easily host and entertain friends.

Next up is “The Top Floor Lookout,” which is a one-bedroom apartment listed slightly over Loudmila’s budget at $2,600. The Brooklyn apartment boasts a ton of natural light and a private roof deck to boot. The modern remodeled kitchen comes with a dishwasher, which wasn’t on Loudmila’s must-have list, but she isn’t complaining. Loudmila loves the two big windows in the bedroom, which offer even more natural light. And while this apartment doesn’t have as much built-in storage as the first unit, it’s definitely a strong contender.

The third and final apartment is dubbed “The Brand New One Bed,” which, as the name implies, is a one-bedroom apartment. The unit is a bit over budget at $2,700, but it’s love at first natural light for Loudmila. The apartment’s spacious living space has huge windows that offer a lovely view and a ton of light. The apartment’s central air conditioning system is definitely a plus, as is the large bedroom closet. Unfortunately, the closet isn’t a walk-in, but the shower in the ensuite bathroom is, which makes the decision a tough one for Loudmila.

Three weeks later, Loudmila shares that while mulling over the choices, she came to the realization that she’s not quite ready to make the move to the city yet, but when she is, she can count on Will to have plenty of great apartment options for her.
