Qualcomm (QCOM) Gains As Market Dips: What You Should Know

Qualcomm (QCOM) closed at $127.18 in the latest trading session, marking a +1.66% move from the prior day. The stock outpaced the S&P 500's daily loss of 0.3%. Elsewhere, the Dow lost 0.2%, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq lost 0.1%.

Coming into today, shares of the chipmaker had lost 10.49% in the past month. In that same time, the Computer and Technology sector gained 3.24%, while the S&P 500 lost 0.62%.

Investors will be hoping for strength from Qualcomm as it approaches its next earnings release, which is expected to be July 27, 2022. The company is expected to report EPS of $2.86, up 48.96% from the prior-year quarter.
