Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II has died aged 96 at Balmoral Castle, Buckingham Palace announced on Thursday 8th September 2022. We are deeply saddened by the death of Her Majesty and extend our heartfelt sympathy to the Royal Family.

The Queen, who celebrated her Platinum Jubilee in June 2022, was the UK's longest-reigning monarch.

An official statement issued by the Palace today says the Queen died peacefully. The full statement reads: "The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow."
