The Queen Never Tells Anyone What Her Favourite Food Is, And It Makes Sense TBH

The Queen can be a bit of an interesting character when it comes to food. Like, did you know she’s never eaten pizza? And if she has a burger, she never, EVER has it in a bun. Plus… get this: she eats a banana with a knife and fork. See? Told you she was kooky about food, and we love it.

Speaking of The Queen’s eating habits, did you know that she’s never actually told anyone what her favourite food is? Yeah, we know she likes scones (and she is very partial to Chocolate Perfection Pie), and other fancy-pants stuff like that, but can you remember ever being told what her absolute favourite food is?

Well, it turns out, there’s actually a very good reason for this. The Queen never tells anyone what her favourite food is, so that when she goes on her travels around the world, she doesn’t get served it all the time.

Smart, right?

According to The Express, Gordon Rayner, former royal correspondent for The Telegraph who has covered more than 20 royal tours, said he'd heard this fact from a royal staff member.

He said: “As one of her staff told me, ‘If she said she had a favourite meal she would never get served anything else.’”

Because, let’s be honest – no matter how much you love a particular food, if you get served it all the time, it’s bound to lose its appeal a tad.
