How eco-friendly is your cleaning cupboard? To celebrate Plastic Free July, Ecovibe has created a clever quiz to help you find out whether your products are as green as you think.

From sweet-smelling disinfectant sprays to laundry detergent, cleaning products make up a whopping 15.5 per cent of all plastic pollution worldwide due to low recycling rates. As well as this, many toxic chemicals in the ingredients enter our ecosystems, causing lasting damage.

"We have become so accustomed to these everyday cleaning products on our shelves, but very few are aware of their harmful effects on the wider environment," says Stacey Skidmore, managing director at Ecovibe.

"It's important to swap out products that you use every day for eco-friendly alternatives, of which there are so many available, as these will make the biggest impact on the planet."

Want to shun detergents full of chemicals? Common commercial cleaners are loaded with toxic and polluting substances, so making the choice to go green is a great way to be more self-sufficient and chemical-free. Why not take the test and see just how green your cleaning routine is...

How did you do in the quiz? If yours isn't as green as you'd hope, why not clear out your cupboards and make room for all-natural alternatives that will do the job just as well.
