Yahoo Finance TikToker slammed for 'reckless' photoshoot stunt: 'Stupidity at a staggering level'
A U.K.-based railway company condemned a “reckless” TikTok filmed on one of its train lines.
Network Rail was informed of a TikTok that showed a car parked in the middle of a set of tracks, along with a tripod to take photos. The video’s caption said, “Would you take the risk to take the photograph no one else would?”

Now the TikTok is being investigated by the British Transport Police. Network Rail identified the spot The Oaks level crossing at Bromley Cross in Bolton, England.
“The danger this person has put themselves and passengers in is sheer stupidity at a staggering level. Trespassing on the railway is a crime, as is endangering the lives of rail users,” Phil James, the Network Rail’s North West route director, said in a statement.
“Lives could so easily have been lost by this reckless behavior and we will be working closely with British Transport Police to make sure the person responsible for the video is brought to justice,” James added.
“There is simply no excuse for not following safety procedures at level crossings. The behavior shown by the individuals in this video is incredibly dangerous and reckless — no picture or video is worth risking your life for,” British Transport Police inspector Becky Warren said.
Several Twitter users found the photographer on various social media platforms and, based on his posts, concluded he had taken the photo in 2018.
“Trends like this should be condemned by everyone immediately,” someone pointed out.
In the U.K., trespassing on a railway can result in a £1000 (approximately $1,362 USD) fine and obstructing a train is punishable by up to two years in prison.
