Coi Leray has no problem dropping $5,000 on Chanel at the luxury accessories shop What Goes Around Comes Around in Los Angeles.
The 23-year-old, Drake-approved rapper from New Jersey has fans eagerly anticipating her debut album. Leray is riding high on the success of her 2021 single, “No More Parties.” It’s her first track to enter the Billboard Hot 100 and become RIAA certified gold. This April, she became the face of Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS Cozy Collection. Needless to say, there’s much in store for the rising star.
In this episode of Bag Secured, watch as Leray treats herself to a high-end shopping spree and gives insight into her one-of-a-kind, comfy style.
“I would describe my style as very different. Big trend-setter energy, you know what I’m saying?” Leray says. “I like to go ahead and be very comfortable. Anything that’s going to make me feel uncomfortable, I’m not going to have it on, you feel me?”
Leray is a fan of denim, bright colors and anything bold enough to stand out. She immediately gravitates toward a “cute” Louis Vuitton pink monogram denim baggy. Next, she tries on a pink Prada Vitello Daino handbag, which she describes as giving her “real grandma vibes” but also as a “flex.”
“This Chanel bag is crazy. This is a clear, see-through Chanel bag. I actually never seen one of these ever in my life,” she says of a clear vinyl Chanel tote.
Although, pink may have been the day’s theme. Leray discovers the “best Birkin” she has ever seen. It’s a teeny-tiny, rose lipstick swift Birkin 25 by Hermes with a $19,500 price tag.
“Why does it look so cute?” she remarks. “This is the smallest Birkin bag I’ve seen in my life personally. In the color with the silver and not the gold — this is fire.”
But in the end, she spends $3,500 on a Chanel suede flower power messenger bag with an abstract orange, pink and yellow floral print. She also nabs a sparkling $1,785 gold Chanel fringe choker. Bag: secured.
