Police in New York City have arrested Toronto Raptors rookie guard Terence Davis after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend at a luxury high-rise in Manhattan, according to multiple reports.

The alleged attack happened Tuesday evenings at The Beekman Tower on Mitchell Place near First Avenue, according to police sources cited by the New York Post.

Local news outlet Pix11, citing officials, is reporting that Davis is accused of “slapping the woman across the face before grabbing her phone and breaking the screen.”

TSN’s Rick Westhead was able to confirm via the NYPD that Davis is facing multiple charges.

The Raptors are aware of the reports and are in the process of gathering more information, according to Blake Murphy of The Athletic.

Davis joined the Raptors as a free agent last season after attending the University of Mississippi.
