Yahoo Finance Kate Middleton has broken a record with her latest project
Kate Middleton is certainly passionate about all the different projects she works on as part of her role as a member of the royal family, and it's paid off as she's broken a record with her latest endeavour.
The Duchess of Cambridge launched her '5 Big Questions on the Under Fives' survey at the start of 2020, looking into the early years of children's lives. It's now been revealed that more than 500,000 people responded to the questionnaire, which is thought to be the largest ever response to a public survey of this kind.
Plus, Kate has also said that the project is "the UK's biggest ever study on the early years," so it's certainly a first.
Kelly Beaver, the Managing Director of Public Affairs at Ipsos MORI, the company that carried out the study, said that they have "never seen a response" like the one for Kate's project.
She explained: "Ipsos MORI has been conducting research with the public in the UK for over 50 years, and we have never seen a response like we did when the 5 Big Questions was launched."
Well, Kate's hard work has certainly made a difference.
Kate acknowledged the success of the survey in herself in a video posted to the Kensington Royal Instagram account, as she prepares to announced the results of the research at the end of this week.
She explained: "Earlier this year we asked you 5 Big Questions about raising our under-fives. We wanted to hear what you think about the importance of the earliest years of our children's lives.
"More than half a million of you answered that call, so we’ve taken your input and combined it with even more public research to produce the UK's biggest ever study on the early years."
She continued, acknowledging the strain that the coronavirus pandemic has put on families.
"This year has been a hugely challenging time for us all and there hasn’t been a more important time to talk about families. Later on this week we'll share 5 Big Insights that we've discovered and I will take your questions. This is just the beginning and I want to thank you for starting a conversation, because we’re all on this journey together."
Kate is hugely passionate about early years development, and this '5 Big Questions' survey is just one part of a larger research project into the early years that's being undertaken by The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
The research is also looking into the impact the pandemic has had on families. Kate is set to give a virtual speech on Friday to discuss the full findings of the project.
