Reiss, the upmarket fashion retailer favoured by the Duchess of Cambridge, on Friday cheered higher revenues ahead of launching a new advertising campaign on the capital’s famous Piccadilly Lights.

The firm saw sales increase 23.7% to £102.9 million in the six months to August 2. Comparable sales in constant currency rose by 25.6%.

Christos Angelides, chief executive of Reiss, said: “I am very pleased with the first half performance and encouraged by the promising start we have made to the Autumn/Winter 19 season."

He added: "Our customers are clearly responding to the investment we have made in people, product, brand and infrastructure.”
