Yahoo Finance Aldi’s Kevin the Carrot toy is now on sale
Aldi's Kevin the Carrot soft toy went on sale today – leading to a huge queue of people trying to get on the bargain supermarket's website. Thankfully you can now get your hands on one of the soft toys – but you'll have to be quick.
If you haven’t seen Aldi’s fun-filled Christmas 2022 advert yet, where have you been?
The budget retailer revealed its full-length Christmas this week, which saw the return of Kevin the Carrot and family in scenes inspired by the classic festive film Home Alone.
As with previous years, fans of the cute vegetable have been waiting for Aldi to release any merchandise to accompany the advert.
Everyone's favourite carrot in soft-toy form was released online and in store this morning (Thursday 17 November).
Perfect as kids' stocking fillers or a treat on the countdown to Christmas. Lucky shoppers can snap up up the limited-edition plush toys at just £3.99 for Kevin or Katie, and £3.99 for Jasper, Chantenay and Baby, the collection of carrot kids. Shoppers can also scoop a saving by buying Katie and the kids in a bundle for £7.95 (online only).
As with last year, Aldi will be limiting purchases to two products per person to ensure as many people as possible have the chance to buy them
But people are so keen to grab one of the toys that the Aldi website had 76,000 people queueing to get on there and snap them up. While some of the toys have already sold out online, the bundle of Katie and the kids is still available to buy.
If you love the squishees trend, the good news is for the first year ever, Kevin, Katie & Kids are also available as Squishees for £6.99 each.
Kevin is also joined by buddies, Mouse and Tortoise, which again cost £3.99 each. We love the cute Christmas pudding shell on tortoise and mince pie tutu on mouse!
If you're a fan, make sure to be quick as, judging by previous years, these toys will sell-out fast!
The store is also releasing a range of football themed plushes, as seen in Aldi’s Christmas ad teaser, which pays homage to the iconic 1998 Nike World Cup Advert.
Featuring some new faces, fans of the ad can pick up MmmBap, Marrowdonna, Roy Bean, Ronaldi and Messy, all available in plush form for £.3.99 each. These football stars are also available to buy in a bundle online for £15.95 - and are still available to buy.
