RIL operating profit may lag estimates - StarMine

Reuters Market Eye - Reliance Industries Ltd's(RELI.NS) operating profit may lag consensus estimates when it reports January-March quarter results on Friday, Thomson Reuters StarMine's SmartEstimates shows.

StarMine's SmartEstimates, which places a greater emphasis on forecasts by top-rated analysts, expects Reliance to report an operating profit of 79.12 billion rupees ($1.31 billion) for the quarter, compared with a consensus mean estimate of 81.79 billion rupees.

Reliance shares are trading up 0.1 percent on Wednesday.
