Antonio Brown, who hasn’t set foot on an NFL field since Week 2, is reportedly going to meet with the NFL next week to address the sexual assault allegations that have been made against him. According to ESPN’s Josina Anderson, Brown will meet with the NFL on November 14.

Anderson also reported that “Brown is eager to present his side” to the NFL.

Two women have accused Brown of varying degrees of sexual assault, ranging from forced kissing to rape. The first accusation wasn’t made public until after Brown had essentially forced his release from the Oakland Raiders following a bizarre series of events which included a helmet spat, a cryotherapy injury and an altercation with GM Mike Mayock. The accusation, made by one of Brown’s former trainers, came to light in a civil suit filed the day after Brown had signed with the New England Patriots.

The Patriots didn’t release him following the suit, nor did they release him when a second woman came forward with additional accusations of sexual assault. They did release him on Sept. 20, several days after Sports Illustrated published intimidating text messages Brown had allegedly sent to the second woman.

Brown hasn’t played since, and has not signed with another team. The NFL is still investigating him, but he has not been placed on the commissioner’s exempt list. The threat of finally being placed on the exempt list is likely why other teams haven’t signed him yet, since Anderson reported that there are several teams interested.

In a tweet from Wednesday, Brown appeared to blame the NFL for his current unemployed status.

Brown’s meeting next week has a chance to jumpstart things, but the NFL doesn’t seem eager to wrap up their investigation any time soon.
