DUBLIN, Dec. 18, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- As we approach the holiday season, Research and Markets is delighted to be working with Dublin Simon Community to provide Santa toys to families that have moved to independent living.
Dublin Simon Community offer services and support to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Ireland. Since the start of the pandemic, an average of six new families have become homeless every day in Dublin.
Research and Markets is headquartered in Dublin and are proud to be in the position to partner with Dublin Simon Community to help support the vulnerable in our community.
“These toys will benefit the families of our Support to Live Independently (SLI) service and will help make Christmas magical for very deserving children. Christmas can be a challenging time for the most vulnerable in society, particularly the homeless, and the fact that Research & Markets is thinking of the children in our services is heart-warming for both them and their parents. Sincere thanks to all at Research & Markets for bringing joy to the children, in these, the toughest of times.” – Sam McGuinness, CEO Dublin Simon Community
“We are delighted to be supporting the work of Dublin Simon Community in helping families move to independent living. We hope that this donation of toys will allow families who have had an extremely difficult year to enjoy a happy Christmas in their new homes” - Ross Glover, CEO Research and Markets
“As we close on 2020 and the challenging year it has been for all services, we reflect on the positives. In SLI, we have supported, guided and helped transition our clients out of homelessness and into their long term accommodation. Many of our families have made great sacrifices to set up their homes, pay bills and rent in order to provide a safe space for their Children.
As many of our clients have limited excess expenditure after paying all their bills and their everyday cost of living, the donation of toys has helped our clients ensure that their children have a magical first Christmas in their homes as they close the door on homelessness.” – Caroline Murray, Support to Live Independently (SLI) Manager
Dublin Simon Community provides services to almost 7,500 people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness across Dublin, Wicklow, Kildare, Meath, Louth, Cavan & Monaghan. The SLI Service provides a range of support services to families leaving emergency accommodation to help them integrate into their new community.
